I made these adorable bookmarks for my students. I am going to send them out this week with a letter reminding them to do their summer reading. I am also going to encourage their parents to join Bloomz before the school year starts so we can work out any issues before September. You can get these cute bookmarks here for free from Catherine Reed.
Next, I finally finished my Back to School Color by Numbers Activity. I can't wait to use it with my students in September.

Thanks for linking up! I just love those bookmarks...I made them the past two years....actually, I love anything Catherine does;)

I love the idea of sending out little reading reminder cards now. Great way to promote summer reading! This year I invited my kiddos to a get together at the public library-- The first one at the beginning of the summer was well attended but the 2nd one in the middle was not (maybe because it was right after 4th of July?)

I love the idea of inviting to the students to a library get together. One year we opened our school library up once a week to the students. There were several that showed each week but most of the time it was the same faces. It was still worth it. Many had no way to get to the public library.
